I hadn't been to this place in a while, and I'm pleased to see that they have added Apple Pay to the list of payment options.
The place was quiet when I was there just after opening, the barista was welcoming and helpful, and the Americano was right on. I dig it. -

Meh. Literally ordered a veggie quiche and it had ham in it. It was super bland and they didn't even have salt to put on it.

I was really excited when I saw the name of the establishment, But then I walked in and found that there were no juices on the menu. I personally don't consider milkshakes or smoothies to be "juices" but they were the closest items to juices on the menu. I ended up getting a triple berry smoothie which was decent, but nothing I would rave about. When I think of a juice bar I'm expecting fresh squeezed orange juice, celery, carrot etc. but I didn't find that at this location. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because they have a pretty wide selection of pastries and a standard coffee menu. It also felt welcoming to me. I can see that it is a little dated, but it felt cozy to me. I can definitely see myself coming back to study or grab a latte. It is in a great location and I'm sure with an update to the menu and decor it has the potential to be a great coffee & juice bar.

This is a very large and very popular spot right off the downtown part of pacific grove what has, just like it says in the name a focus on coffee, tea and fresh juice thingys. It's full name is P&G Juice and Java, but nobody calls it that.
Parking is street only, easy enough to find a spot in the mornings, not so much in the afternoons. There is however a surface lot for The Grove Market not even a block away, and another sizeable surface lot over off 16th. Both of those have time limits, but most folks aren't going to spend more then two hours over coffee. If however you are bunkering in for an all day coffee study session plan your parking carefully.
The dining area is huge. It seems like there is room for hundreds of people but that's probably an illusion. Maybe fifty to eighty. There are large family sized tables for groups of five or more, single seats, some small cozy tables in the back by the paino/restroom/windows, some super awesome curbside patio seating for those that like fresh air with their java(or juice). There is also some plushy chairs, a fireplace, and no less then four couches arranged lounge style more or less right by the ordering counter. Sure enough those couches have seen better days but they sure are comfy to lounge around in.
The order counter has a ton of glassed in display, and they run very nearly a full menu in addition to the usual and expected pastry things. They also do some clever stuff like pre packaging cereal into a large to go cup-instant breakfast, just add milk. They have beer on tap just in case you are the kind of person that goes to a coffee house to drink beer, and the selection of loose leaf tea is better then average. The baristas know what they are doing, and while there are spots nearby that have better espresso, there's not that many, and they cost a few dollars more.
Service is of the order at counter and pick up when called model and the pricing is fair. It's not unheard of to get into the seven dollar range for coffee and a sweet in the area, but here it's entirely possible to get the exact same thing for five bucks or less. The service on my visit was spot on, the coffee was good verging on great, and I really liked the seating choices.
All in all this is a good choice for ye old coffee, tea, or juice smoothy thing. -

Ambiance: 3
Drinks: 5
Ambiance here attempts to be quaint and rustic, but felt more ... cold & industrial? There was no music, the couches felt grungy, and the space felt very large (which could be a pro!).
The drinks here were great, though.
Hot chocolate: Quite sweet, but balanced with a twinge of bitterness at the tail end of the sip.
Iced tea: Only 1 variety and it's black. It was slightly herbal and very refreshing.
